All of the scouts skills are of the Reconnaissance skill when you are looking for
adept upgrades that drop. The power cost and effect listed below are of app2 quality
examined at level 50, as this is the easiest quality to compare. Examining the upgraded
level (i.e. Adept1/Adept3) will show you the upgraded effects of the skill before you
scribe it ingame.

Level Skill Power Cost Skill Summary Effect 1 Tracking 0 Locate enemies - 1 Quick Strike 5 Low damage attack 16 – 26 melee damage 3 Ambush 5 Stealth attack 32 – 54 melee damage 3 Sneak 0 Stealth Grants Stealth to caster Slows caster by 37% 4 Pathfinding 13 Group Run buff Increases group out of combat run speed by 16% 4 Evade 3 Agro reduction Decreases Threat by 46 – 78 5 Lucky Break 0 Heroic Starter Begins a Heroic Opportunity 5 Sneak Attack 7 Flanking attack 28 – 47 melee damage 6 Cheap Shot Varies with level Short stun Stuns target 7 Assail 10 Stealth attack 43 – 72 melee damage 8 Dirty Tricks 14 Defense Debuff Decreases def of target by 2.5 9 Ensnare 7 Snare + magic debuff Slows target by 30% Decreases magic mitigation by 171 9 Fast Strike 10 Quick Attack 21 – 36 melee damage

As you begin to level up as a scout you are introduced to a variety of different
skills that will start to familiarize you with the scout archtype. The most notable of the
skills you will receive from level 1-9 are Tracking, Pathfinding, Evade, Lucky Break,
Quick Strike, and Cheap Shot. Why are these six skills important you ask? Because I
continue to use these skills even at level 50 for their excellent utility. Here is exactly why
these skills will still be useful at level 50:
Tracking – This skill isn’t so much a regular skill that you get as you level up but rather a
scout utility spell that is unique to the scout archtype. You will constantly being
using tracking as you level up to find a variety of things ranging from named
mobs for quests, specific mobs as you level, and even NPCs in town that you
need to search for. This is one of the most useful skills you will receive as a scout
and makes finding things a whole lot easier.
Pathfinding – Like Tracking, this is another scout staple that you will be using
throughout your time as a scout. Simply put, it is a run buff for your group, and
who doesn’t want to run faster!
Evade – Evade is another useful skill because of it’s coin icon. This will be a very handy
skill when you need to flip a HO, and as a bonus it reduces your hate as well.
Lucky Break – Every archtype receives a skill that starts a HO. Lucky Break is the
scout’s HO starter and hopefully I don’t need to tell you when this is important.
Quick Strike / Fast Strike – This skill is useful for one major reason, the quick
cast/recast and super low power cost. All of the scout’s solo HOs use a dagger to
complete. Because the power cost is so low and the cast/recast is so fast for
quick strike, I find myself completing HOs with this skill even at level 50.
Cheap Shot – Last but not least, cheap shot is extremely useful for its stun with no
maximum level cap. Because cheap shot has no maximum level you are getting
a cheap stun that can interrupt an enemies skill or spell for very small power
cost. It also has a coin icon which is usually alot better to switch an HO when you
are soloing because you don’t need the hate reduction from evade.
